Base JumpingBase jumping grew by parachute jumping. BASE jumps are usually very much lower than heights jumps, and a BASE jump will be held in the vicinity of the building as the platform directly. Because BASE jumps generally bring rated flight speeds slower than typical jumps because of the limited height, BASE jumpers rarely reaches terminal velocity (the speed achieved after twelve seconds acceleration). Because higher rated flight speeds allow jumper aerodynamic more control over their bodies, as well as positive and quick parachute openings, the longer the delay, the better.
